I am completely new to using Substack, just downloaded it and subscribed to your course for this Thomas Pynchon book club.

Do I have to manually reserve a spot for each book club Id like to join? Or do I just show up on the call May 24th?

You don't have to reserve a spot, just show up to the call on the 24th. The link will be posted here on the respective book club call page on the day of the call.

Bro, asking genuinely would it kill you to cover a Screenwriter like Tonino Guerra, László Krasznahorkai, or Robert Bolt?

Alright. I'm counting my chickens before they hatch here, but... no way this guy is gonna pull a House of Tabula and start covering more mediums now is he? Oooooooooo ooooooohoohoohoohoo don't tempt me now mista Cattanach, ya girlish teasing is too much for this one. I'll soon be no more!

There are only three channels on YouTube I really feel GET art. It's you THoT and Cave of Apelles and I want you all to cover Cinema it's literally my favorite medium!

I don't know if anyone has seen this documentary on Pynchon, but I wanted to share as I found it interesting and revealing. The only part I do not like is the guy who snapped Pynchon's photo in New York City, violating his request of privacy. I wouldn't like that, either. In any case, this doc is as wild as Pynchon's writing, and I will be the first to admit I would love to meet and hang with TP. He did make an appearance on the Simpsons. What a strange and interesting man.

Who even knew he was still alive? I find him opaque and childish, but I'm in!

Pynchon is dense, complex and so much fun.
