Hegel couldn’t do it. Schelling couldn’t do it. Fitche couldn’t do it. DONALD TRUMP COULDN’T DO IT. No one out there has been able to complete the system of German Idealism until now.
Simon, from The Effusion, the poetic diablo, a man responsible for radicalizing two Eastern Cascadian women into the philosophy of Czeslaw Milosz’s works, is joining us today.
I first came across Simon’s poetry over a year ago, and fell in love with it. As you can read below, he has a certain style, when it comes to Nature Poetry, that I’ve never encountered before, and between his lives, notes, and our interactions, I knew I had to have him on.
In today’s podcast, we talk about poetry, his novella, the literary renaissance, Simon’s origin story, writing in the Pacific Northwest, the works of Czeslaw Milosz, Raymond Carver, Kenneth Rexroth, Whitman, Emerson, Thoreau, and so much more!
Plus, we talk about German Idealism, Romanticism, and take questions from the audience.
Everyone, go subscribe to Simon, and check out some of this poetry. Here are the poems we talked about in the presentation today.
