So this is perhaps a place where analog wins again. Because if you type or handwrite a "trash" poem, it still exists. It's there. You created something.
Doing this digitally it's more ephemeral perhaps.
Also, trumpet player to trumpet player, it's common to warm up first! No musician thinks those warm up notes "are for the trash." But most brass players understand they need to warm up first.
So it's odd that in writing perhaps there's an expectation you can write without a warm up.
