Welcome one welcome all to the Dostoevsky course and book club, where we’ll read a Dostoevsky novel each month (except during May where we will read two) alongside his biography and other secondary sources.
Many of us have read at least one of Dostoevsky’s classic novels, but haven’t finished his bibliography, dived into his personal history, discussed his work with others, read secondary sources, and started to write or make content about his work.
This course & book club is meant to change that.
Each month we will read a novel and part of his biography, and a few days before the call I will post an hour breakdown of the novel.
I will post individual book club/course pages for each novel and link them below, but here is the schedule we will be following
May 17th - Notes From the Underground
May 31st - Crime and Punishment
Note: Read Part one of Joseph Frank’s “Dostoevsky: A Writer in His Time” and discuss after C&P book club call for a bit.
