How did Cormac McCarthy research novels? Today, I will be separating fact from fiction (and come clean about some things I’ve gotten wrong 😂) regarding McCarthy’s research process.
We will, of course, hear from McCarthy, first and foremost, about how he researches novels.
Then, I will expand on McCarthy’s thoughts as I’ve spent a bunch of time at the archive, researching McCarthy’s life and studying his sources in person, and I feel that I have a good grasp on what he mostly did to research his novels.
