What We Will Be Reading!
The Write Conscious Book Club is back with 11 new clubs! This cycle, we will, of course, be reading McCarthy & Mishima but also introducing two new clubs:
The Classics Club (One Novel, Play, or Poetry Collection Per Month)
The Short Story Book Club (One Short Story Per Month)
The Poetry Book Club (One Poetry Collection Per Month)
Probably in the April/May cycle, I will add a philosophy, creative non-fiction, and a psychology book club, where we will read great works in those categories.
For the next two months, I wanted to shake things up and pivot away from the post-modern hardcore classics and toward books that would be more fun than a struggle to read. Over the summer, when I’m not working (May-August),) we will probably read another 20+ post-modern novels at once 😂
But until then, here is the list!
Now that I have this straightened out, I can refocus on poetry and podcasts, finish the Infinite Jest Course, and finally push toward my big goal of doing a 100+ hour course on Blood Meridian.
