The William Blake course is back, with a deep dive into Blake’s underrated and prophetic Book of Thel. This is one of my favorite pieces by Blake, and it has more wisdom on how to ACTIVATE and transcend spiritual narcissism, analysis paralysis, and living an unfulfilled life than not just most poems but also most novels.
In today’s video, we will do a close-reading analysis of almost the entirety of the Book of Thel and apply it to our modern lives, as Blake knew that if we could break through the programming that held back our imagination, we could become better artists, lovers, parents, and citizens of the world.
This video builds on the first three videos of the course and brings them into an incarnated body of knowledge that we can take further in the course, through our analysis of Blake’s more advanced metaphysical and poetic concepts.
