Cormac McCarthy’s The Road is the last original novel he ever wrote. Later releases like The Passenger and Stella Maris were started in the 1960s but took decades to complete. McCarthy first conceived the novel in 2003 while in El Paso with his young son. Years later, he finished the novel in a personal record time (a couple of months) while in Ireland.
The Road has more beautiful prose than any dystopian novel ever written. It is also horrifying with a weird touch of optimism that only McCarthy can do. I would love to see you on the calls!
I would still encourage you to join if you can’t make the calls because you can
