What's up, everyone? This is where you will post your FOUR sentences from the week one sentence-building course video. The exercises are described in the video and text below.
Written Instructions:
Number your sentences 1-4 and correspond them with the exercises
Only post your sentences. We need no context, apologies, or explanations. This is a place to practice. We will rate your writing ability based on the published work you stand behind.
Watch the course video to understand the details of the verbal sentences you are writing.
Exercises:
Sentence 1: How would you reword this sentence using more than one gerund and verbal adjective?
“The barn was red with a for sale sign out front.”
Sentence 2: Create a very, very descriptive sentence (go crazy) that includes a subject, a finite verb, and at least two nonfinite verbs (participles or gerunds). Focus on showing action and description through these verb forms.
Sentence 3: Create a 150-word + sentence without any periods that uses verbals to carry you through, like McCarthy.
Sentence 4: Write one original sentence (equative clause) where both the subject and predicate nominative are past participles, creating a thought-provoking or poetic statement.
Example:
Lost is remembered.
________ is ________.
