Diving into Chinese Poetry translation with some heat
I want to kick off this new era of Write Conscious by praising the greatest group of poets ever: the Chinese Wilderness Poets.
While the West was lost in Christianity and divorced from nature (this remains the case today), the Chinese were experiencing direct clarity and connection with nature.
My wife and I are translating the best Chinese wilderness poets and infusing them with Desert elements. Here is a poem from 755 AD by Li Bai.
